The Malayic languages belong to the Sunda-Sulawesi languages.
They include 25 languages dispersed from central Sumatra, including Malay (Malaysian/Indonesian), Minangkabau in central Sumatra, Acehnese in Aceh, the Chamic languages in Vietnam and Cambodia, Moken in Thailand and Burma, and Iban of northern Borneo.
According to the Ethnologue, it includes 70 languages [1].
